Jody has over 30 years experience in the fitness industry working with both woman and men who strive to be more active, are returning to exercise after some time away, or those with special concerns.
Jody’s goal is to customize a program that fits your needs and expectations. This ranges from using all forms of gym equipment to Pilates based exercises to a wide range of therapeutic and restorative stretching techniques.
Jody has a long history in working with other health care professionals, helping build and facilitate personalized health care plans. Her goal is to move you forward.

RESTORATIVE STRETCH, TUESDAY AT 1:15 PM at the YWCA
Each week I run a 45-min stretch class designed to bring flexibility into your fitness practice. This class incorporates a variety of classic and therapeutic stretches taken from yoga, dance, sports and pilates to relax your muscles and help relieve the stress of daily city living.
It starts at 1:15 pm at the YWCA - corner of Dunsmuir and Hornby.
Drop-ins are always welcome.
A Brief History of In Grand Form
In Grand Form was formed in 1981 as a vehicle to produce classes and develop a video format to encourage size-plus and under-active adults to move. By 1995 the focus grew to include active older adults (both men and women) and women's health, (menopause, pre and post).
Both In Grand Form and Jody's Fitness actively promote healthy eating strategies and focus on programs that are safe, effective and fun. Jody's philosophy encourages people to be happy and healthy no matter what their size or age. In addition to group training, fitness and corporate workshops, Jody coaches individuals in her Personal Fitness Training sessions.
Recognized in the media for her work, Jody has been interviewed by newspapers across Canada, and has appeared on the Life Network, BCTV, in Chatelaine Magazine and on the cover of Fitness Business Canada. Her first video was a Canadian best-seller. Her second video/DVD, "In 2 Grand Form" was released in 1999.
1986 - Created the first fitness video offering three levels of intensity.
1993 - Fitness class gets a rave review.
1997 - Jody and the 'Tah-Dah Girls' land the center fold in Chatelaine
1999 - Launches In Grand From 2, a CanadiAn best selling fitness video
2000 - Jody and the 'Tah-Dah Girls' make the cover on Fitness Business Canada
2002 - Studio gains success offering personalized fitness services
2009 - In Grand Form launches Jody's Fitness
